Therapeutic massage involves the manipulation of soft tissue structures of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, stress, and to promote overall health and wellness.  We offer each of the below therapeutic massage modalities to meet your unique needs in our office, or on-site in the comfort of your home or business. We offer a variety of therapeutic massages.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia. Benefits include increased range of motion, strengthening of muscles, and more.

Sports Massage
Sports massage is geared toward participants in athletics. Our massage therapists use this technique to help prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity, to maintain it in optimal condition, and to help athletes recover from workouts and injuries.

Medical Massage
Beyond relaxation, medical massage has a corrective health benefit. This type of massage helps restore the body and can reduce inflammation and stiffness due to arthritis, and improve circulation, mobility, and lubrication of joints with each healing session.

For seniors, our massage therapists gently manipulate the soft tissue, using careful pressure strokes, hand motion, and friction to soothe the delicate conditions of seniors. Couples massage is one of our most popular services and is available in our office, or onsite in your home.* During a couples massage, both individuals are massaged in the same room simultaneously by experienced massage therapists. Whether you are a married couple, still dating, same sex couple, mother and daughter duo, or best friends; there is nothing like a couples massage for some relaxation and pampering. Couples massage is a great way to spend time together while getting a much-needed massage in Grand Rapids. You can chat through your massage or enjoy your relaxation period in silence with your partner or friend.

Please keep in mind when booking a couples session, you must choose two therapists. Start by determining a time when two therapists available, then book Client 1 and Client 2. The cost of the session is charged only under Client 1. If you cannot find two therapists available at the same time, please call the office or email us.

Our therapists will soothe sore, aching muscles using an ancient technique that combines classic massage strokes with warmed river-smoothed stones. Heated in sanitized water, these varying sizes and weights of rocks become massage tools as they are pressed firmly over the length of problem areas. Prenatal massage focuses on the special needs of a mother-to-be. While her body is going through dramatic changes, this modality of massage enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation, and relieves mental and physical fatigue.

Traditional Thai massage involves a combination of stretches, manipulation of energy lines, and compressions that open up the channels of the body. While Thai massage is normally performed on a mat on the floor, table Thai is modified and performed on a massage table.

Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient healing art that combines acupressure, stretching, and assisted yoga poses to create a unique and invigorating bodywork experience. This therapy is performed fully clothed and helps to balance the body’s energy, improve flexibility, and relieve tension.

For individuals who prefer to have a massage in the comfort of their home, are hosting a relaxing spa or bridal party, have difficulty with transportation, or experience a physical or mental disability that makes it challenging to leave home, our therapists will travel to you!* Mobile massage is perfect for a variety of occasions, and we have multiple massage therapists to accommodate any size group. 

Minimum of 60 minutes total required. Travel expenses may apply.

Tranquil Flow Hot Stone
Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils. The therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering. In addition to heated stones, this massage has all the extras! Hot towels, Partial Salt Scrub, Partial Sugar Scrub, Yoga Balm, and choice of aromatherapy or scented CBD lotion.

Full Body Salt Scrub
A full body scrub that includes arms, legs, and back. It gently exfoliates the skin and invigorates circulation to help bring a glow to your skin. Lasts approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on body size.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a light, skin-stretching massage that helps promote the movement of lymphatic fluid out of the swollen limb. It should not be confused with a traditional massage. MLD has been found to be extremely effective for edema treatment and relaxation. It is also beneficial for pre/post-operative surgery as it can minimize scarring and reduce the healing process.

In addition to edema and relaxation, MLD aids in the reduction of swelling and puffiness in the face and neck area, cellulite reduction, and can decrease the frequency and severity of migraines. It can also help with various other conditions such as sinusitis, fibromyalgia, toxic poisoning, IBS, acne, chronic fatigue, and sleeping disorders.

Private sessions can be any of these styles or can be tailored to address a specific concern or goal. Group classes will incorporate elements from the following styles:

• Vinyasa | Vinyasa is a flow-based, dynamic yoga practice designed to cultivate presence by connecting movement with breath. Classes include a combination of centering and grounding to begin, sun salutations, standing and balance poses, hip openers, and pranayama (breath work).
• Slow Flow | Slow Flow offers a slower-paced Vinyasa practice. Students have more time to integrate to their mats, flow breath to movement, and hold asanas (poses) for a number of breaths. This style is especially well-suited for beginners. Also referred to as Hatha or Gentle Yoga.
• Restorative | Restorative is a practice focused on slowing down and resting with the total support of props. There is minimal movement in a restorative class, and most poses are floor-based. Props will be made available during class, and all are welcome to bring blocks, blankets, pillows, straps, and bolsters.
• Yin | Yin is a slow and nourishing practice where students can expect deep stretching during long holds in poses designed to target the fascia and connective tissues infused with time for meditation and pranayama, guided yogic breathing. Yin may increase flexibility and range of motion while providing relaxation and energetic benefits.

Prenatal and Postpartum Classes are available as private sessions. These classes are tailored to your specific needs and concerns. Expect to be supported and nurtured. Please consult with your doctor to confirm it is safe for you to practice.

Brow lamination is a technique that redirects the brow hairs upwards, sideways or down to create a fuller brow texture and to correct/style brow hairs that are unruly or shapeless. (Please stop using retinol/exfoliants prior to your brow appointment)

Brow tint is a semi-permanent color customized for you that is applied to your brows. It brings forth hairs that usually go unnoticed and creates a fuller, bolder look. It lasts six weeks.

Lash lift for natural lashes. Using a silicone rod and lift solution, eyelashes are lifted at the root, giving the illusion of volume and length. The procedure lasts 6-8 weeks. Lashes slowly return to their normal curl over time, and you never have to worry about the uneven appearance that eyelash extensions can give as they shed.

Lash tint darkens the natural lashes using a semi-permanent color. It lasts 6-8 weeks. Combine it with a lash lift to reduce the need for mascara.
